Esperanza CSA

The EsperanzaCSA program offered in the Pajaro and Salinas Valleys is part of our commitment to food sovereignty for the global community, starting with the people of these valleys. We carry out this work on land located in Watsonville, owned by Land Trust Santa Cruz County, with the support of local volunteers who help plant, wash, and harvest. Every week, we deliver baskets filled with seasonal organic fruits and vegetables to the 150 families who are part of the program.

A CSA program connects local people and farms in a mutually supportive relationship.

This program is transforming the conventional food chain, rebuilding a food supply chain that is sustainable and friendly to the environment, consumers, and our local farmers.

CSA gives consumers a deeper connection to their food and the people who grow it.

We intend to create opportunities to “try it” and to promote a conscious and informed community, with the organic foods offered to us by Mother Earth.
